Google Classroom - A blended learning platform for schools that aims to simplify creating, distributing and grading assignments in a paperless way.

Kahoot

Kahoot allows users to create game based formative assessments using multiple choice questions. Kahoot provides a fun interactive platform for students which includes avatars, leaderboards, and themes.

Khan Academy Khan Academy is a personalized learning resource for all ages. The website offers practice exercises, instructional videos, and a personalized learning dashboard that empowers learners to study at their own pace in and outside of the classroom. Note: Khanmigo for students is not approved yet.
Kids A-Z

With Kids A-Z, students can complete various interactive activities from the Raz-Kids, Science A-Z, and Headsprout products and update their robot avatars on mobile devices.

Incredibox is a musical game that helps you create a mix very easily by managing a band of beatboxers.

Nearpod

Nearpod is an interactive presentation and assessment tool that can be used in the classroom. A teacher can create presentations that can contain quizs, polls, videos, images, drawing-boards, web content and so on. Pre made presentations are available for purchase.

My Maps

Google My Maps is your way to keep track of the places that matter to you. Easily make custom maps to remember your favorite places, explore new cities, or demonstrate understanding.

Padlet

Padlet is a free application that allows users to create an online bulletin board that students can use to collaborate on and share ideas. Create an account using your Jeffco Google log in. You can add images, links, videos, and more. Padlet can be projected to your whole class, used on individual devices, or embedded into a Schoology page.

Peardeck

Pear Deck is an interactive presentation tool used to actively engage students in individual and social learning. Teachers create presentations using their Google Drive account and check for understanding throughout the presentation.

Popplet

Popplet is a tool that allows students to visualize ideas. Teachers and students can create graphic organizers, timelines, and many other forms of visual organization. Popplet can also be used as a presentation tool.

Quizizz

Quizizz allows users to create game based formative assessments using multiple choice questions. Quizizz provides a fun interactive platform for students which includes avatars, leaderboards, themes, music and memes. Teachers are provided with detailed class and student-level data.

Quizlet

Quizlet is a free resource providing learning tools for students, including flashcards, study and game modes. It contains over 400 million user-generated study sets. Use a pre -made study set or create your own.

Seesaw

Seesaw is a student-driven digital portfolio that empowers students to independently document what they are learning at school. Students can use photos, videos, drawings, text notes and links to show what they know. Seesaw portfolios can easily by shared with parents.

TumbleBook Library

TumbleBooks, provided by Jefferson County Public Library, are animated, talking picture books for young readers. TumbleBooks are created by taking existing picture books, adding animation, sound, music and narration to produce an electronic picture book which you can read, or have read to you.

Tynker

Tynker is a creative computing platform where students can learn how to program and build games, Minecraft mods, apps and more. Tynker offers self-paced online courses for students to learn coding at home, as well as an engaging programming curriculum for schools.

Typing Club

TypingClub is an online keyboarding platform. Each lesson provides instant, meaningful feedback that encourages students to continue practicing. You will be able to track your studentÕs progress and customize lesson plans through your instructor portal.

All students and teachers have access to premium digital learning applications with their Jeffco log-in credentials. A consistent core set of applications allows for student data privacy aligned to state legislation and seamless access for personalized learning. This includes single sign-on (SSO) and integration of applications.

Tech for Ed in Jeffco

Jeffco Public School’s 1:1 program provides first- through 12th-grade students in neighborhood and option schools a district Chromebook. This creates an equitable and sustainable model for technology-enabled classrooms that prepares students to thrive in a connected, digital world in alignment with the Jeffco Thrives Strategic Plan.

All students can access a district-purchased and managed Chromebook to personalize their learning. This closes the digital device divide and addresses the inequities in classrooms to transform learning.

Students in grades K-12 can also access a variety of digital applications and consistent tools that give them opportunities to demonstrate learning in creative and challenging ways. Each of the technology tools supports students as creators, collaborators and innovative problem solvers rather than as consumers of information.

The program also allows for professional development and learning for teachers to use the provided tools and devices to transform student learning experiences. Having consistent tools and opportunities for teacher training allows for more challenging learning and student engagement and deeper technology integration.
